For me, Chapelwood was love at first sight.  I visited the model on a Monday and bought lot 4 four days later.  Chapelwood’s location on the growing east side of Chapel Hill appealed to me – close to the Dean Dome and Kenan Stadium, four miles from Nordstrom’s and 15 minutes from the airport, especially important since I work in DC!  The expansive (and practical) design, the attention to detail, the quality of the construction, the low-maintenance brick exterior and no yard work motivated me to buy.  Plus, I am excited to meet my new neighbors!

From the moment we saw the enclosed courtyard on the model, we knew we were on the right track for our next home.  The overall design of the Cameron with the separate living areas, the open floor plan, and the sunroom made for a great combination.

We really liked that the builder and his wife design and build the units, which is very unusual these days with a few mega-builders doing the bulk of the building.

Finally, finding a 55+ community in Chapel Hill where the yard is maintained for us and with a solid brick home with little to no regular maintenance, we can spend our free time doing things that interest us.

Chapelwood is a great fit for us as we prepare for retirement and should meet our needs for years to come after we retire.

Carol and I have lived in our home at Point Summerset for 2 years and just love it. We moved to our new home from another home in Wilmington because this eventually will be our retirement home and thus, our last move.
