Utilities Transfer

Like any new home several phone calls are required to transfer phone numbers, mail, electrical service etc. In order to ensure a smooth transfer of services from Builder to Homeowner we request that you transfer all accounts prior to closing. We will disconnect all utilities within 14 days of closing unless prior arrangements have been made. Please reference the neighborhood specific information found in the links below. If you have any difficulty connecting your services please contact our office at 910.256.8284 and we will assist you the best we can.

We have listed each and every subcontractor that Hagood Homes, Inc. has worked with in the past year. We are customers to these businesses as you all are our customers; therefore please contact our main office if you have questions or would like to contact a subcontractor.

Application must be requested by phone and can be faxed at your convenience. If transferring services from and existing home in the City of Wilmington to your Hagood Home, the City can authorize the transfer over the phone.

From a touch tone phone: Request Customer Service #0. You will need your Social Security # and Driver License # for a credit check. Once approved the service will be connected within 2-10 days. If a deposit is required due to the credit check ($125 Average Fee) Call Speed Pay 1-866-316-3356 ($4.95 Fee and you will need your account number).

When you close on your home the LP Gas for your Fireplace and any additional Gas appliances will be connected. Please call Today's Fireplace, they will schedule and appointment to start your fireplace. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your fireplace especially how to properly maintain the fireplace. Please also call Azalea Gas to set up a service program, they will monitor your LP tanks to assure proper function and safety. You are free to use any gas service company however you will have a full tank when you move in supplied by Azalea Gas.
