As you walk up the lighted steps to approach the home’s front door, you take in all the home’s details. On entering the home, you are greeted with a wall of glass looking out on a nature preserve. You might just feel like you’re in an enchanted but luxurious treehouse. The home features crisp, clean and modern lines yet is still warm and welcoming.

In the foyer, a unique ceiling design features haint blue, a nod to southern superstitions. The color has traditionally been used on porch ceilings to deter haints, or evil spirits, as the color mimics the blue of the heavens.  The trim provides elegant touches of simplicity that put your eyes at ease.

With today’s trend of open floor plans, appliances have become many homes’ main feature. We chose a monochromatic color pallet for the kitchen with this home so that the appliances almost visually blend in with the cabinetry. 

Over the dining area, we opted not to install a chandelier. This design choice ensured that there are no obstacles to distract from the lines of sight from the entryway to the home’s back wall of glass.

Warm tones are introduced with the great room’s wood ceiling beams. The fireplace is non-traditional with a tile facade and floating mantle as its focal point. 

One of our favorite (and fun) home features is the wet room in the bathroom of the owner’s bedroom suite. The wet room is a large, zero-entry shower space that also features a freestanding tub and a unique pyramid ceiling. Natural light floods the whimsical touches in the bathroom. The playful wallpaper is a favorite of this area.
