Giving Back this Holiday Season
Giving Back this Holiday Season

Community is at the heart of everything Hagood Homes does. We are not just a builder. We are committed community stewards with the belief that paying it forward isn’t just a nice thing to do but essential to being part of the communities where we build.

Since July of 2004, Founders Jim and Troy Kenny have donated over 1.2 million dollars to a number of area charities through their non-profit organization, Hagood Hope for Children, including:

  • The Carousel Center
  • Changing Hearts Ministries
  • Families by Design
  • Father’s House Ministries at River Life Fellowship
  • Methodist Home for Children
  • Ronald McDonald House of Durham & Wake
  • Special Olympics of New Hanover County

Homeowners Who Make a Difference

As a Hagood homeowner, you are also a crucial thread in the fabric of the neighborhoods where you buy and live. Here’s how:

Providing Jobs

Each of our homeowners not only receives a beautiful coastal-inspired home, but they also positively impact the community by providing jobs. With every home we design, build, and sell, 250 jobs are provided – from local suppliers to workers.

Volunteering

In addition to monetary contributions, our homeowners, employees, and trade partners, have given their time and resources over the years to various causes we have supported.

Giving Back this Holiday Season

People in our communities are in need year-round, but during the holiday season, that need is even more apparent. Now is the perfect time to give back, whether through donation or action. Here are some ways you can help out this year.

  • Donate food to a local food pantry.
  • Make a financial contribution to a charity you find worthwhile.
  • Participate in an Angel Tree at a local organization or create your own.
  • Volunteer to help serve dinner at a local homeless shelter.

The greater Wilmington area has many organizations that greatly benefit from donations and volunteers, especially during the holiday season when needs are at an all time high. See how you can help.

As we think about all the things that our Hagood family is grateful for this year, we are incredibly fortunate to build in many of coastal Carolina’s amazing communities and make a positive impact for years to come.

If you are interested in supporting Hagood Hope for Children or have a cause that needs help, please send us a request through our contact page.
