With a combined affinity for classical architecture and inspiration from the heart and soul of the North Carolina coast and South Carolina’s low country, their goal is for each custom home plan to reflect the history and architecture of its surrounding areas.

Troy is a master of details, with every element thoughtfully planned. From interior trim, colors, and cabinetry to decorative tiles and even swimming pools, Troy closely follows homebuilding and interior trends while keeping her design elements timeless. In addition to co-founding Design House, Troy is also a founder of Hagood Homes and designs every Hagood Home in some of the most desirable communities along the North and South Carolina coasts. Her designs have won numerous Parade of Homes Awards year after year, including the 2021 Brunswick County Parade of Homes New Construction Diamond Award for the Harbour Side Canted model.

The Hagood Process

One of her newest designs, the Gustat residence, is located in Compass Pointe, a beautiful community in Brunswick County, North Carolina.

The Gustat residence features three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, and 4,764 total square footage with an expansive open floorplan designed for function and flow. Its gorgeous exterior aesthetic features decorative gable millwork and multi-level rooflines, and enough character to go around.
